Hello,

I am not sure if this is a bug or not so feel free to remove or place in another forum area...

The Number of: field is now defaulting to 56 for any comic I add.

How it started: I noticed some of my scraped comics had the field populated and thus had the (x of y). I didn't like it, so I figured I would just delete any data in the field. I tried it on a small set of comics and it seemed to work. So I selected all, CTRL+i and deleted the of: data.

When I next opened CR, all my comics were reading x of 56. I figured I had messed up so I did it again. As it read 0, I updated the books and thought it over. Until I opened up CR again.

So fine, I think. No biggie. I can let it go.

Until I imported another bunch of scanned comics which are also now x of 56. I have no idea why this is ocurring or why the default became 56.

Any time you can spend looking into this is well appreciated. I realize I could be the only person ever using CR to have created this issue.

Is the 56 black or gray?

The only default ComicRack takes are from filename parsing. These are not "real" but "proposed" values and show in gray.

You can turn this off for each comic by setting "Proposed Values" to "No" in the Comic Dialog.

Thanks. Is there any reason why that value is being proposed?

There is no 56 in the filename nor the file path - except for comics that actually are number 56, of course.

It is proposing this on its own as far as I can tell.

If the number is gray and you can turn it off by disabling "Proposed values" there has to be a number in the filename somewhere.

I have over 10,000 comics. It is appearing on each one. I have looked at the file name and file path. There are 34 files with the number 56 in them.

Quite honestly, in the comic dialog, it does not look gray. I t actually looks the same color as all other values. I thought it might have just been my monitor. However, the value does not show when I set Proposed to No.

Is it possibly in the directory name(s) somewhere? Proposed values should only be looking at that sort of stuff, so unless there's some weird bug here I'm clueless. Never seen anything like it.

Before I scrape anything I select all> right click> automation> commit proposed vales.

My guess is that 56 is part of the scanner name and they didn't parenthesis it.
