Hi,

I installed the latest ComicRack on my Windows 8 laptop, it installed without error but when I tried to launch the app it crashed with an error 126.

Error Message:
"LoadLibrary failed with error 126: The specified module could not be found."

I am a IPAD owner and was considering dumping from my current comic app (Comic Zeal) for the newly release IOS version of ComicRack.
Before pay for a new app on my IOS, I would like to solve why the application on my PC will not load, without the Windows client I will be missing out on features like WiFi sync.

Hope someone can help.

Regards,
Martyn

Hi,

I had this problem myself when I upgraded to Windows 8. Do you happen to have an AMD graphics card by any chance?

If so, try this:

***FIND*** [Start] -> Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt

1. Right click that and select Run as Administrator.

2. If don't see C:/Windows/System32 on the screen next to your cursor, type the command: cd /d C:/Windows/System32 (If windows isn't on C:, replace C: with the drive windows is installed on)

3. If you have a 32-bit system type the command: copy atioglxx.dll .dll or if you have a 64-bit system type the command: copy atio6axx.dll atiogl64.dll

Note: You may need to do this again in future, if you update your graphics card driver and the issue persists

This should hopefully sort it for you and allow you to use ComicRack :)

Hi

I do have an ATI graphics card and my OS is 64bit, I don't seem to have the files you quoted.

aticfx64.dll
atidxx64.dll
atig6pxx.dll
atig6txx.dll
atiglpxx.dll
atimpc64.dll
atiu9p64.dll
atiumd6a.dll
atiumd64.dll

I am not sure which ones I need to copy for 64it?

Cheers

Have you searched for the files below?

atioglxx.dll
atio6axx.dll
atiogl64.dll

They may be in a different folder and you could copy them to you system32 folder then try the copy command.

Otherwise you could try the registry file in the attached zip file.

Hiya,

The files existed in another folder I then did the copy and it works..

No I can re-add my comics and think about purchasing the IOS app.

Thank you very much :)
