When you open CRW for the first time and for transient events it's DB access times out, CRW should not allow device syncing unless the DB is correctly loaded.
CRW 0.9.178 x64 on Win10
CRA 1.80 on Nexus 10

Are you using SQL DB or local DB? If SQL you might want to try increasing the timeout settings.

To update SQL timeout settings, go into comicrack.ini and adjust the default timeout at the end of this string (the one below has an increased timeout).

DataSource = mysql:Server=192.168.15.3;Uid=comicrack;Pwd=comicrack;Database=comicdb;default command timeout=240

This IMO is the main reason ComicRack development stalled. In order to get around this, the program needs to grab data on the basis of need, instead of loading it all at once. That would necessitate a pretty big rewrite, which I think was the plan.

Yeah I have a very big library and while switching to SQL helped a lot, the default timeout value would pretty much never load the DB in time.

I do agree that a more standard SQL DB model would result in much better performance on CR and I do think the current SQL implementation was just intended as the first step. .
