Well I can make this but it will cause the in progress Library Organizer update and the Reading list index to be delayed....
Thanks Stoney! :)

I will love you all my life if you could make this after the library organizer update is done with..
 No problem. I'm hoping to have the Library Organizer update done by the end of the week. I'll start working on this one as soon as I am done that.

Here you go:

Copy/Move Field

You can copy or move from the source field and replace or append to the destination field.

Note: The script will fail when moving or copying a non-number into any number field (except the actual number field) this is caught and you are notified at the end which ones failed.

Edit: the package.ini file should use the 32x32icon, as the 16x16 icon is not properly displayed in the scripts manager:

Hi,

may I ask something to be added to this script? Sometimes I find myself not wanting to move a field to another but to append some information to a given field (tipically tags...). Would it be possible to expand the script not only to move/append info from one field to another, but to directly append free text to a given field so that existing info in that field is not overwritten?

Thanks.

Doesn't the built-in "Search & Replace" script allow this?

Well, I don't want to replace, but to append! And I have nothing to search... What I want to do is, let's say append "[Source:CMC]" to the notes fields of comics that already have notes...

I'll add something.

Unfortunately I've been a bit busy lately and I'm not gonna have time to do anything until around Sunday.

@600
Whoops, I'll fix that icon.

Here is version 1.1, sorry about the delay.

The only changes are the addition of a User Text source option with a text box and fixed the package icon.

I forgot to mention in the first version that the wonderful 600WPMPO is the creator of the icon.

While the script is working fine, I can not make use of the text box as it is greyed out; the separator box is working fine.
