Currently all files added with (digital-"Empire, theGroup, etc") now removes the "digital-" from the name.

One question, is this intended? Thanks.
Yes that is intended. The thinking was that digital and webrip are not really part of the scanner name but are a description of the source of the comic.

I suppose I could make a option to turn it on and off....

I agree with this.

Thanks for the response.

I agreed on the webrip, considering there is no real ambiguity, but I wasn't sure about the digital part since the scanner may have intentionally put digital in the name since they are digitally distributing, not necessarily using digital content for the "scans."

However, I'm relatively new to this, which is why I asked.

I actually did think about digital being an actual part of the scanner name, but an uninformed human reading the filename wouldn't be able to tell it apart either if it's written as (Watchmen-digital). If it's separated from the rest of the scanner's name with a space or dash or what have you, it's cut, otherwise it's probably part of the scanner name.

FYI, it's just Empire, not digital-Empire - the digital refers to something or another that Stonepaw could tell you more about.

Ah ok. Thanks. It just seems that digital-Empire sounds better than just Empire as a scanner name. Good to know.

Also, a funny note. When used after "Library Organizer" with Month/year set, "Scan Information from Filename" picks up the month as a scanner name.

Yeah. Some of my scans had the post-fix "(webcomic)" at the end, so it picked up webcomic as the scanner name.

Maybe we can add some blacklist function, so that certain words/digits are never picked up as scanner names?

Possibly, For the month I changed settings of organizer so won't run into that again. Might be better to have a user-defined blacklist rather than a built in, so no constant code updates needed. I'm not sure if it is adaptable from the current user-defined add list.

There should be a blacklist.txt included already. Open the plugin as an archive, then edit blacklist.txt. Each individual line is its own regex so you've got quite a bit of flexibility, though if you're not familiar with it simply typing out the exact text of what you want excluded (don't include any opening or closing punctuation like parentheses) will do the job. I'll have that fixed by tomorrow.

Changes:
  • Updated blacklist includes months, languages and other things added by LO
  • Matches that match pre-existing metadata are thrown out
  • Matches that are part of the series, title, or alternate series are thrown out
  • A user editable black list
  • Several other small tweaks

Thanks to "Webcomic Developer" Helmic for the updated regex and blacklist and the ideas for the other improvements.
