This script helps you maintain a reading list of all the books chosen in the Reading club, fortnight after fortnight, something like this:

We can have a simple reading list with this single criterion:

File Attachment:

File Name: Reading Club.cbl
File Size:0 KB

Now, everytime a new series or story arc is added to the reading club, we can simply add the 'reading club' tag to it by using a simple modification of Stonepaw's excellent Pull-list script.

Help needed from Stonepaw:

The only problem is that, in its current modification, this would add the reading club tag to the entire series (and not a few issues or a story arc of that series or a particular issue). This works fine for a reading club like the entire run of 'The last days of American Crime', or even the current 'Fell', but would not work for 'Kraven's last hunt'.

I know very little about python, and would request our savior, the man with the Stone Paw to help us make this a usable script. :)

Here is the script, modded by me! :silly:

Edit: Here is the final script by Stonepaw.Stonepaw wrote:
Modified to work with specific issue numbers or range of numbers. It will ask which numbers you want to use in the right click menu or the add button in the configure form. You can also use multiple ranges and ranges with single numbers. For example: "4, 5-8, 10-18". You can leave the number empty to use every issue number.

So when we try and add Kraven's Last Hunt, does the series have to be 'Kraven's Last Hunt' as opposed to amazing spider man or whichever? I'm not keen to put the alternate series title in series.

No, the best way would be to use the reading list for that week's reading club (see oraclexview's post in the reading lists section), select all (or one by one) the books & then use the reading club script. This way, the relevant issues of that series get added.

Yeah, first thing I did was create a reading list. I'm referring to when we add the books with the script. After adding the books, when I click on 'configure' in the reading club script options, I have 'Web of Spider Man #291, 292', etc etc, as opposed to Kraven's Last Stand. In your image, you just have Kraven's Last Stand.

That is the DCP Archive edition of Kraven's last hunt (all issues in 1 cbz). ;)

That would definitely explain my confusion. Cheers 600.
