I managed to get the script to wortk. is now happily chugging along converting CBR files to cbz and tagging them with CBL and CR tags.

If there's no objections to doing this, I'm gonna try and incorporate this directly into Mylar (as a module, but it would be called and controlled within Mylar) - just because of all the variations this has gone through and I know Manders had hoped to actually get it incorporated way back when. If / when it happens, it might require some additional testing - but on the plus, it would all able to be configured from within the Configuration GUI.

Well I did some testing last night and got the script working as an internal call - it even will pass in the actual issueid directly into the script since it already knows the issueid. The end result is that the results are way quicker since it doesn't have to match via filename and zero user involvement . Once it's done the tagging, the post processing continues and renames/moves the files as appropriate. The other bonus is there's no need for modifying ComicRN.py as the call now takes place within the post processing module :) The only problem I ran into is that configparser needs to be installed or else comictagger won't run and the script won't tag, but will continue to post process. Now I just need to ask permission from the comictagger author if it's ok to include the program or else it would have to be downloaded outside of the program which may not be very useful for some.

The best situation would be to provide a link in the preferences for it. Otherwise, you're stuck releasing a new version every time he releases a new version.

Well I didn't include the actual files...I'm leaving it up to the user whose running Mylar to be saavy enough to download ComicTagger and configparser (both of which have instructions on his website for it). It's then just a matter of either pointing Mylar to the correct location of the .py (.exe) OR copying the comictaggerlib directory entirely into the /lib/comictaggerlib/ directory within Mylar for auto-recognition ;)

Much thanks too for all your work on this script if it hasn't been mentioned previously. All I had to do is make some minor modifications for the script to be integrated fully into Mylar. I've now had it running integrated locally on my box for the past month auto-downloading and then auto-tagging with no problems.

For development build users, the MetaTagging option is available in the GUI Configuration under the Quality & Post-Processing tab.

Cheers,

As long as you either point Mylar to your CT install or copy the lib into the /lib/comictaggerlib directory...yes it will work. I've only tested it on a nix box and had the library copied - and it still is and works just fine for myself.

Testing on Windows now...

I really should rebuild the box with Fedora or Ubuntu...
