Similar to how there is a way to get direct info (scraping) for a comic, is there any way to do the same for non-comics such as novels, technical manuals, etc. This would be useful to get the information for a physical/digital novel that you want to read or have done so already.

Example: I have a fileless reputation for a physical copy of DS9 #27: A Stitch in Time, but don't have all the information entered.

Instead of having to look for all information individually, is there a way to enter all wanted information automatically?

Sorry if this question has already been asked.

I also use Calibre. However, I don't know of any way to keep track of what I have read.

I do use ComicRack to track what I have read but can adding info is tedious, especially when reading through a series or reading several books at the same time.

Only way I was able to do it within Calibre was to setup a custom category (yes/no box) for read items. I don't know if we could somehow import the data from Calibre or use a scrapper similar to what it uses.

i just thought of an idea. Is there any way that a script could be written to scrape a book database, similar to ComicVine Scraper?

In the Calibre settings you can choose from these sites: Amazon.com, Big Book Search, Douban Books, Edelweiss, Google, Google Images (for covers, i guess), ISBNDB, OZON.ru, Open Library, Overdrive
