Sometimes i would like to be able to create a copy of a comic (in a predefined location).

Is there some script around that can make this?

Thanks,

Have you considered..

CTRL + SHIFT+ E or (Right click comic, choose 'Export comic') ?

There you can choose a predefined location, fileformat ..etc..

Seems your wish is already granted by Cyo.

Yes, i have considered it, but unfortunately it doesn't work on shared libraries.

Scripts, on the other hand, do work, hence the request.

Export not working is a bug. I'll fix it for the next release.

EDIT: Actually it is not. Just looked into the source. This is actually something you can set as a right for the server (like editable). I simply never implemented the user interface.

hehe :)

Well you could modify wadegiles's Move file script to copy instead of move.

Just change the following two lines with a text editor:
fi.MoveTo(destinationFilePath)
to
fi.CopyTo(destinationFilePath)
and delete the line:
book.FilePath = fi.FullName

I tested it on a couple of local comics and it works, but I didn't test it on a shared library.

This does not work with shared libraries. Because you're not actually working with REAL files. The pages are pulled on demand from the server.

But read above :)

This only surfaced as important the minute we get the sharing to work like we have right now - until now, no one probably remembered to try it :).

But yes, of course this is because it would make it simple to "get" files from remote libraries.

Here's to hoping that user interface comes along :-).
