A script that allows to create a smart list with the next comics to read. And how does it guess these comics, you ask? Simple: if find the next comic inside a series where you read the previous issues or that you stopped in the middle.

It has 4 different options:
- List next books to read in series that you already started reading (1 comic, not including first editions)
- List next 4 books to read in series that you already started reading (4 comics in sequence, not including first editions)
- List next books to read in all series (1 comic, including first editions)
- List next 4 books to read in all series (4 comics in sequence, including first editions)

Download at: NextIssuesToRead-0.3.crplugin

Changelog:
0.3
- Option for next 4 issues to read, including or not first editions

0.2
- Better handling of series when you read chunks inside it

0.1
- Initial version

Works exactly as advertised. +1 and I've added it to the index.

+1 for the concept..

:( However, the script didn't prove much useful to me. Let me explain:

Whenever I get a new eComic in my library, naturally I open it to see how it looks and all that, and usually browse through the first 2-3 pages to get a feel of it before I actually decide to read it, maybe later. ComicRack, with all good intentions, duly adds this to the read percentage. Now, when I use the "Next Issues To Read" script, it gives me a huge list of such comics.

Basically, you need a very well maintained library for this, where you do not non-specifically open & close books. I am now so afraid that I will mess up the "read percentage" that I think twice before opening a book This is bad, isn't it ? :P

p.s. I am going to clean it up. I'll make a smart list that groups book with read percentage less than 20, and then I'll mark them all as "unread". Let us see if this helps.

It already ignores if you read up to 3 pages (i think). If you want to play with this value, open the script NextIssuesToRead.py and change the line
return book.OpenedCount > 0 and (book.ReadPercentage > 50 or book.LastPageRead >= book.FrontCoverPageIndex + 3)
Change that 3 to other value and check what is better for you.

PS: I do the same thing, that is why I already made the if ;)

Thanks for that.. however, i "marked as read" "mark as unread" all files with read percentage less than 50, and now the script is giving me good results.

A nice "What next to read" script !!

Edit: that should be "mark as unread"

I would say that you should mark as unread. Anyway, I'll update that to be 5 pages.

One question: do someone know if ComicRack stores how much time you spent reading a comic? That would be a good value to test.

Wow, even before I try this, I know I'll love this script. That's exactly how I'm reading new chapters. Thank you! ;]

Yes.. this is really a good script. Now that I have an organized "read percentage", I am very happy to just click at the list and instantaneously get all the "Now Reading" comics.. B)

I guess this goes in my top 5 ComicRack scripts list. Hmm..an idea of reviewing these scripts is coming to mind.. :P
