Hi. I want someone to make script that scans for library folders, checks all files and if file is missing script marks it in ComicRack database so I can check them later.
For some reason ComicRack itself doesn't do that on "Scan eComic Folders", it only marks them when I find them in the library  . Also I know about "Automatically remove missing files from Library during Scan". However I don't want them removed, I want them reported as missing.

Thank you.

EDIT Script by pescuma seems to do the job.

A while ago I wrote a smartlist script that displays any eComics that ComicRack reports are missing.

To use it simply install it and create a smartlist with the user script "File is missing". To get best results set your main library to not display stacks and quickly scroll from top to bottom. That will force ComicRack to look for missing files. Then go to the missing files smartlist and they should all be displayed.

Stonepaw, I already have your script.
To get best results set your main library to not display stacks and quickly scroll from top to bottom. That will force ComicRack to look for missing files.
I know that too. So, scrolling through several thousands of files to find missing ones is intended behavior?

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know ComicRack doesn't keep the missing file property updated until the file is attempted to be accessed. Scrolling through the library forces ComicRack to try and get thumbnails, thus accessing the files and finding missing ones.

Unintentionally funny. Link is a 404 page, now.

I do this by simply search for books with a VERY small size (smaller than any real comic, for example 0.01MB) XD

Sorry, but I have no idea how to add an extension that is neither .zip nor .crplugin. Can you give me a little hint?

Way 1: You put both files in a zip file and rename it to .crplugin, then you install it

(you have to be able to see and change extensions in filenames in Windows for this)

Way 2: You copy the .py file to the folder where all .py files are inside your comicrack folder (just search for *.py) and restart comicrack

hint: usually the folder is something like C:\Users\*you*\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\ComicRack\Scripts (although it can be hidden)

Way 3: Just use this (I packaged it for you with the first method)
