1) Download the localizer, if not already done, from here:http://comicrack.cyolito.com/downloads/ComicRack/Support-Files/Localizer.zip/.

2) Create a folder, and name it for this example Localizer, where you can safely unpack the downloaded file.

3) Copy both the de.zip AND the it.zip to the newly created Localizer folder.

4) Extract de.zip to a folder, to keep this simple I'll name it de.

5) Extract it.zip to a folder, to keep this simple I'll name it it.

I know I have a limitless imagination!

6) Launch the Localizer.exe

7) Click the "Open..." button and select the IT folder. The window of the localizer should have changed. In the upper left there is everything from the creator (language, creator's name and the notes). In the lower left, a list appeared which is like a summary. Each choice corresponds to an XML file. Except for the <All> and the <Updated>. The <All> displays all the lines that can be or have already been translated to the big lower right panel. We'll come back to the <Updated> later.

8) Click on "Pack > Update Pack" and select the DE folder.

Since the Italian language pack seems to be quite old, you might want to use the <All> part of the summary. If not, you can use the <Updated> which will display all the lines that cYo added over the years and that can be translated but will NOT display the lines already translated. Hence my suggestion to use the <All>, at least to check if what was done seems good to you.

9) Select a line amongst the tens of it in the big right panel.

10) Once done, the thin upper right part, which is divided in two, should display. First, with a grey background and that can't be modified, is the original translation made by cYo. Underneath that, with a white background and that CAN be modified, is what you will modify according to what the selected line means.

11) Click on the "Save" button.

12) Go to the IT folder, select all the XML files and add them to a ZIP file so that they are at the root of the file (which means there should not be a folder within the ZIP file) and name it IT.zip.

13) Copy the newly created IT.zip to the languages folder of CR and replace the old IT.zip. Launch CR and check your changes.

14) If everything seems fine, rename the ZIP file to IT_09***.zip so that the *** displays the version it was made with.

15) Dig up the Italian language pack topic from its grave and post your file there. If you stay committed to the translation, you'll have the right to create and update an entry in the "Downloads > Language Packs" section.

16) Rename once more the IT_09***.zip to IT.zip so that CR is able to use it.

17) Go have a beer or something with your friend!

18) When CR will be updated, unpack the new DE.zip (it'll always be the most up to date language pack) to the DE folder in your Localizer folder.

19) Launch Localizer.exe.

20) Click on "Pack > Update Pack..." and select the DE folder.

21) In the "summary" part of the localizer, click on the <Updated>. It'll display everything that has been modified/added with the last version of CR.

22) Go back to step 9) till the end.

23) End of the loop. Go get wasted with your friends!

Hope it's clear enough. If not, just ask. :)

I just tried it and I get the same error as you so,my guess is that the pack is so old that it's missing lots of XML files and gives an error.

Just to check, I tried adding the missing XML files and update but it still gave me the same error so you might want to start from scratch... or ask some more knowledgeable ppl :P

Eventually... even with the error, the updates appear!!!

So, I'll move on and forget the error...

The same happened to me, so I solved it by using the old 1.10 version.
