Superman has really changed in the last couple of months hasn't he?

I think DC saw the numbers Grant Morrison sold on his "early years" Superman that had minimal powers and was an activist and wanted to try to capture that again. The problem being that these writers aren't Grant Morrison, and they don't seem to be handling the story very well.

There was an interview with one of the current Superman writers stating that Clark and Lois should never be together. I was apalled by this as someone who read a lot of 90's Superman where C&L were actually married, and which had some really great stories. I think the writer should have said "I'm not good enough creatively to write stories where Superman is married, so I think I'll make them mad at each other instead and have Lois tell the world that Clark is Superman."

I like the idea of Superman's identity being out there for everyone, it's new and fresh and a fun concept to work with. I don't like how poorly the writers are handling that or Lois and Clark's relationship.
