Stonepaw and I just finished a script called Webcomic Helper. It lets you create your own CBW files without knowing anything about regexes. Simply provide the script with the URL's it asks for and it'll make you a self-updating CBW for just about any webcomic you can think of.

Was wondering if any of the recent updates allowed us to grab images from sites that require log in, ie Drunk Duck?

Thanks

Right click the comic in the library in ComicRack, go to Export Books -> Export Books. You'll get some options on how you want to save the extra copy of the book like name, file location, image quality, etc. Under File Format, there's a dropdown list called Format. Choose PDF, then hit OK. I suggest making sure your internet connection is stable before you attempt the export, or else you'll get gray lines in the images where the image didn't fully download. The PDF file won't update itself with new pages, but you can read it offline on your iPad just fine.

Nope, though I'll talk to cYo to see if there isn't some way to use login information without actually storing passwords and whatnot in ComicRack itself. People tend to freak out over that sort of thing.

<3 this script so much. Thanks for the effort put into it :)

I've encountered a few webcomics so far that don't work with it though:

Flaky Pastry ( flakypastry.runningwithpencils.com ) --This one seems to have some sort of weirdness in how it stores the comic images

Mysteries of the Arcana ( www.mysteriesofthearcana.com ) --Prev/Next buttons are done through CSS, and it seems like Webcomic Helper can't pick them up.

The Pale ( www.thepale.net ) --This one might be a bit awkward in ComicRack, but i'm trying this script on all the comics i read regularly :) Not sure what's wrong here, but it's neither able to figure out the image naming, nor the Next link.

Drow Tales ( www.drowtales.com ) --Script can't figure out the page naming scheme, and CSS-based next comic links.

Thanks for letting me know about these. I have thought up of a possible way to get the next link when there are css images. Hopefully I'll have that in the next version.

Thank you so much for your script,

Here is a comic that didn't work,

dilbert.com/

the process fails after the input of the second comic image url.

Thank again

Here's another one that the script chokes on... right after it asks for the second image:

This script is amazing! Thank you so much for your hard work!

Works beautifully on most webcomics I tried. I found a few it couldn't figure out what to do with, though.

Hominids - The site uses a JavaScript lightbox to display the comics. It looks like each chapter is in a separate directory and calls it's own lightbox.

Gunnerkirgg Court - Not sure what the problem is with this one. The site structure seems straightforward.

Odessa - Again, seems straightforward, but the script stalls.

Thankyou, this script works really well.
Sometimes I have to look at the source of the page and extract the comic URL from the frameset, but that is just basic HTML right?
