I just wanted to share something for the noobs like me out there.

I have been trying to work out how to manually order a certain smartlist and I finally figured it out. The list was for the series "The Boys" and I wanted to include the offshoots "Herogasm" and "Highland Laddie" in order.

I have found out that if you use rule groups that they display in your list in this order as long as you have your view set to "Position".

Originally I had the list set as "Series; contains; The Boys" and tried to mess with different views ("Published" coming closest but still not what I wanted). Here is the smartlist that I have ended up with that works perfectly.

This way it displays The Boys #1-#30, then Herogasm #1-#6, The Boys #31-#47 etc. in this order (I figured it would collect all of these comics but just display them the same as my original smartlist)

I hope I have explained this ok.

This method didn't work for me. When I tried to organize the order based on storyline, It put it out of order. However it did give me an idea to suggest. Can this be done in such a way that each individual sub rule would be stacked alone and in the order that you put in the rules?

Same problem is encountered by myself when organizing the storyline, is there any other way to sort out this problem.

Since nothing worked short of taking all Alt Series out, I used a plain list and manually added all 300+ issues from several series, one by one.

EDIT: Didn't realize I was responding to myself.

Since starting to read The Boys from this smartlist I have encountered a slightly annoying bug.

For some reason the comic I am reading will sometimes jump back a few comics in the list. When I get to the end of the current comic and flick over to the next comic it will be one I've already read.

It will always go back to the correct order if I press F5 (refresh) while in the browser panel.

Not a big deal, still the best way that I've found to organise a list like this. I don't understand why the comics will move around in the list (to be honest I don't really understand how the "Position" function works at all - It just seemed to work so I used it)

@ProfessorAnthrax: I think now that we have 1 more mini-series from the Boys universe (Butcher, Baker, Candlestickmaker), it would be great if you could update the reading list for all of us! :-)

Ok, here is the current list. Supposedly the series is coming to an end around issue 70 - 72 so I left the last rule as a 'greater than' so that I don't have to edit it again (I doubt they'll wedge another mini-series in now).

I couldn't resize the smartlist window so the top of the list has been cut off - refer to the picture at the top of this post for that info.
