Thanks for this!

I know this list will auto populate as I get the issues, but I'm wondering, is there a way to manipulate this list, or create a different one, that shows the whole checklist so I can see at a glance what I'm missing/have?

I'm guessing this list will have to be extended going forward - there almost have to be more tie-in issues after May if the event runs through SEPTEMBER, right?

You can make a custom list (not smart list, but a custom list) that included all the issues in the checklist. Then these issues (not released yet) can be added as file less entries

Yes, till now only the tie-ins for the first month have been announced. I'll update the list as I learn of more issues. Still, for a scraped library (alternate series = Avengers Vs. X-Men), the issues will automagically add, as you get them in your library. For unscraped issues, you will need the updated list.

Tempted to read this after reading the Preview in the last Winter Soldier! Though is this something I can just pick up or is there some event or something I should have read before jumping into this?

I do want to get into Avengers and X-Men just not got around to finding the right place to do it yet since I started reading Comics :P my X-Men knowledge is pretty much the movies and same goes for Avengers.

I say you jump right in without any previous knowledge. Trust me, it is quite new-user friendly. :)

The maximum you need to know is about 2 female characters, who will somehow play important roles here. These are the Scarlet Witch & Hope.

Here are some TPBs that are suggested, though I would suggest only House of M (an excellent read on any day) and X-Men: Second Coming

Since I could just jump in maybe I should... maybe I'll just let it build up for awhile then get to it :)

So just House of M and Second Coming will tell me what I need to know? House of M is 8 issues? Will I need to have read some of the titles like House of M: Avengers, House of M: Incredible Hulk, Etc? Or will the main 8 just be fine?

Just the 8 issues of House of M would be sufficient.

Basically, when you reach here, know that you have entered the Marvel Universe:

I would highly recommend you to buy the Trade Paperback. It is a very good addition to anyone's comic library.

Thanks, I will defiantly start looking into buying the Trades! I only just started getting into Comics with New 52 and a month or so back started buying Single Issues! About time I looked into getting a Trade :)

There a Avengers and X-Men Series that are easy enough to jump into at the moment?
