Here is the formats.zip file for use in the ComicRack Resources -> Icons folder..

File Attachment:

File Name: Formats.zip
File Size:118 KB

These are icons I could make (for now):

I also have a number of alternate icons here:

File Attachment:

File Name: Formats 2.zip
File Size:103 KB

p.s. I do not know how to name the icon for 1/2 format. Please tell meand I'll update the formats.zip with the 1/2 in it.

Here are some more icons that can be used as format icons. Please take a look at them, and if you like them, update them into the formats.zip for 0.9.140:

p.s. Why is 'Hardcover' not included as a format by default?

'Hardcover' missing, finally someone who dares to say it ;)

In my opinion because the formats Cyo is using are more content and American related.

Mentionning 'Hardcover' might seem unnecessary because a lot of users probably won't notice the difference between SC or HC in their digital version.

But you got a point because one has to see it on a larger scale (the 3 pillars, American, European, Asian).

Here in Europe, we only use soft or hardcover, the other formats unless you buy the American pillar are unknown to us although nowadays you start to find Trade Paper backs for Strips or BD's.
Some of our Hardcover issues do contain xtra pages.
And if you use ComicRack like me as a digital duplicata database companion you want to mention everything.

Heavy lifting is one of the benefits of reading paper hardcoverversions :)

I'll add Hardcover.
Anything else missing?

@600:
You icons are all nice. What I would like to see is a set of Format icons that have the same theme and integrate nicely into ComicRack :)

I understand what you mean. I think I'll take this icon and make this the default template for all the format icons:

If its Ok, I'll try to make then and post soon..

Small text is not good.
The new version can display these icons in the list (but smaller). So such small text would not be readable any longer and all icons would look the same.

Try the new RC3 to get a feeling :)

Recently, Marvel had the point 1 initiative. So, we can also add Point 1 to the format.
