I kinda like Demo 1 or 4, because I like that they are subtle in color enough to not outshine the Publisher and Imprint icons, which are the stars of the show for me.
... The failure to appreciate... is perfectly understandable, because the readership never evaluates old material in the context of the cultural climate in which it was created, or the state of the art at the time it was created.

I find that the (1) is just too light. On the other hand, the (4) isn't a color for CR, at least for me.

I'd settle for the (7) which is not as bright as the (6) but still a nice orange.

Seeing as i started this, i'd better give my vote also, i like No.4. but i'll go with majority. all improvement on the black. maybe you could have a gold border around them as well, similar to the "R" logo. No 7. would be my second choice.think we are getting close, maybe it should be orange and gold,

I'd say 4, 6 or 7. Blue or orange work nicely but 1 is too pale on the white background.

Memphis Flash has a point... The CR is two letters smashed together, but are they a freehand design or do they originate from a font? If from a font, it would be really sharp to do the logo style for the format icons. It would make them look like they "belong", and really look professional. I know it would be a little more work but it might be worth it.

@cYo: I'm still waiting for your response

I'll vote for #2.

After adding my vote, so far the votes add up to something like this:
demo 1: 0.5
demo 2: 1
demo 3: 0
demo 4: 2.3
demo 5: 0
demo 6: 3.3
demo 7: 1.8

Here is one more:

@cYo: Is there a font that was used to make the ComicRack logo? If yes, please post it, so that we can exploit it for the format icons & the unknown icon.
