Hey dudes and dudes pretending to be girls!

I had a very interesting seminar at my university about comics. Now i have to write a term paper/essay (not sure what's the proper translation is, i study in germay) - but it's about 10-15 pages.

i can choose the topic all by myself, and i'm overwhelmed by the stuff i could do. At the moment, im reading the great "Transmetropolitan" and this would be an interesting topic - but i don't know if i can find proper literature about that.

So.. i'm asking you to help me find a topic about anything comic related... it could be the smallest detail - as long as i can find any literature about it. (In one seminar we talked 1.5 hours about the drawing of the blowing wind and the "snow-lines" in Hergés Tintin in tibet )

Sliding timelines and retcons. Someone needs to figure out how it all works.

Wow – I’m pretty sure that it was a really interesting course. I’d recommend you the topic “the reflection of the artist’s inner world in comics”. I think you’d be able to find plenty of materials for the term paper focusing on this question and moreover, you’ll be able to include your personal analysis and observations.

I have also written an essay on comic books. The first step I did was to make a list of questions and an outline.

History?
Audience?
etc..

Mine was a general essay, but it's your choice on how you write it.

Hey, Der! I think writing about comics is appropriate nowadays, because it's been defined, that comics refer to literature, just as much as Dostoevsky's 'Crime and Punishment' or 'Wuthering Heights' by Emily Brontë (I shouldn't compare but still the point remains). So you can write about the history of DC or Marvel, for example. There are a lot of interesting topics to research in comics industry, and you actually can write even about 'Transmetropolitan'.
