I've enjoyed reading comics since getting my first Marvels on a comic rack at 7-11 in 1986. I enjoy everything from the major publishers to the independents.

Comic Rack is an amazing program, I've enjoyed using it to rediscover some old classics and new online strips.

Aaahhh yes. The ol' drugstore/convenience store/dime store comic carousel. Fond memories ...

Welcome Richard!

On a side note, just when I'm feeling guilty for not checking in for several days, I manage to beat 600 to greet a new forum user. Stay tuned for the customary greetings/warnings ...

Thank you! I'm looking forward to hearing from more people, as reading comics has been a rather solitary life over the past few years. None of my friends read current comics and the shop I go to caries comics as an afterthought to their Sports Memorabilia business. I do sometimes miss the community that many of the shops in South Florida provided in the 80s and early 90s.

I spent several months reading/buying comics at that 7-11 until I met a friend that told me he had read issues 1 and 2 months ahead of the current issues I had read from a place he called a 'comic shop', I thought he was some kind of magician from the future.

Hahah Richard.. Definitely know the feeling the words "Comic Shop" procure the first time the concept is imagined in a clueless comics fan

And the first time you step into a real comicshop, and the first time you get inside a HUGE comics shop. You just want the owner to adopt you right there and then.

Welcome :)
