I've added the manual to the download section (as an external link) and removed the old one.

I'm unable to host such a big file :(

Even as we speak I get more and more emails from the host of this site about the traffic. I hope I can reach some solution.

I did not have the chance to look into the new version, but I guess 60 MB of whopping content are enough for everyone :)

Initially I was worried about the size of the manual.. but, when I realized that hosting it won't be possible, I stopped caring about the size. Still, this time it is very big. The more beautiful you make it, the bulkier it goes on becoming.. let it be. A unique case ComicRack is : the manual is bigger than the software

However, I kinda like the fact that that the ugly DjVu manual is gone !! B)

A very sincere request to cYo : If you really think the manual is worth it, please give the manual a link in the help menu of the ComicRack program.. :(

i have just downloaded version 4 of the manual and all i can say is "WOW". i thought version 3 was good but this is excellent. since finding your software 3 months ago (and 8 relaeses back) i now have over 12000 comics on my hard drive and am slowly working through scanning the british comic "warlord" from my own collection. this software is brilliant. could someone give me a little information about fileless comics as i am new to that. all the comics i have are on my external hrad drive and over 250 gb. needless to say my broadband modem has been on constantly since finding this great software. Many thanks.

600WPMPO, thank you very much for creating this manual. It would be great if you could produce a pdf file with text and images (not images only) to reduce the file size.

I've mentioned this before, so I don't want to keep harping on it, but...the best way to solve the "pdf file is too big" problem, and also to encourage people to refer to the manual when answering questions is to have an online html version of the manual available. The hosting costs of such a manual would be massively lower, since people wouldn't need to download the whole manual in order to read the part they are looking for...and it would be easier for cyo to link to it from inside ComicRack, too.

Ok.. I finally managed to reduce the size of the manual ..

Here are the links for the 2 sized-down versions: A low quality (LQ) version & an ultra low-quality (ULQ) version.

I think that the LQ version is the best balance between size & quality.. I could hardly tell the difference between the LQ one & the original 64 MB one !

ComicRack Manual (4th ed) HQ:

64.15 MB

ComicRack Manual (4th ed) LQ

33.34 MB
http://www.multiupload.com/130R9OA8O0
ComicRack Manual (4th ed) ULQ

15.87 MB

I have also updated the links in the first post.. Tell me your opinions about these low sized versions !

@cYo: yes, you can have your ugly DjVu manual back ! :P

Thanks as always, the last edition was brilliant and I can only expect the same from this one. DLing right now and I'm happy to say I will be getting paid at work tonight while reading it.

Thanks again, keep up the fantastic work.

600WPMPO,

It is time for a serious, pondered review of the manual after careful reading!  . No more, "oh, that's beautiful", "oh, awesome", "oh, it must be a lot of work"...

So, I cannot tell you how useful it is even for old crocks like me! I have found features I did not have the time to read in the forum or understand from cYo's update logs (cryptic, aint'em?). So, honestly, after thoroughly reading it, my most sincere thanks, since you keep adding an enormous amount of value to a program, which without your manual, could be used only to 30-40% of its capabilities.

My most sincere thanks.!
