I apologize for starting this argument!

Argument? Hardly! This was a simple, civilized and productive discussion amongst all the interested parties through which we arrived at reasonable yet equitable solution.

Now, a "discussion" with my wife re: how much time and money I waste on comicbooks? That, my friends, is an argument!

D
Java devil, you are now my bitch.

Book.ReleasedTime -> In Store time (but only date part is saved)
Do I need to do something special to change this value? I tried this last night and nothing changed?
book.ReleasedTime = DateTime(1999,1,1)

did cYo ever get back to you on this?

@T3KN0Gh057: Ah, yes... I'm not at my computer to try it right now, but I'm sure that's the answer. Thanks!

Edit: hey, you deleted the good part of your answer! :silly:

because it's not possible to set the individual portions of a datetime.

(which i find retarded)

however a solution might be to compare the difference to your own initialized date time then add/subtract difference to the book.ReleaseTime
TimeSpan ts = TimeSpan(System.DateTime(1999,1,1) - book.ReleaseTime);

book.ReleaseTime = book.ReleaseTime.Add(ts)

hold on and i'll try that and see if it works

Edit:

The initialization you used should work

Before Script:

Running Script Before Change:

Running Script After Change:

After Script:

perhaps theres a problem in indentation and its interpreted in as part of a loop that's skipped

Well to be fair I was pretty tired by the time I got around to looking into that last night, so I could have made a simple error and just not noticed it. I'll give it another try in a couple hours when I get home.

No, actually the 'non-purists' should have that option (to scrape the released date into the published date). :P
