Automation is still there.
What do you mean?

After updating to 1.64 release, restarting Comicrack, Right clicking on any comic file(s) no longer presents me with the Automation menu selection for items such as "Rename file to..., Auto-number..., etc."

As is seen here: ComicRack Menu. I've looked in the preferences and Menu bar, but do not see the option elsewhere.

I have automation menu but yeah, there are missing things, the rename and auto number are not there. They were in the previous version.

And as I see, the install overwrote the Publishers.zip, Formats.zip, etc. with my custom icons. :(

You should not modify the original files, but put the icons into the appdata clocation.
I'll look into the missing commands.

I can't get it to load. It gets up to Initialize disk caches and freezes.

Hm, I see. I found only ComicRack->Resources->Icons->Formats.zip on the forum topics when I searched for it, and in the Manual there is only this: "These icons are installed in the Resources folder inside your ComicRack™ install directory."
So I misunderstood it.

Many thanks to cYo for the custom values! :-) This was one of my long desired feature requests.

By the way, The 'Tips & Tricks' manual (huh?) is now officially obsolete!

I'm a bit late to the party, but will soon join in with some examples of the custom values.

The new release is stable (so far), and I'm yet to experience any bug yet.

I so badly wish to use the new shared database features, but don't know where to start. I read the wiki, but I'm still unsure how to begin.

I just uploaded 0.9.165 which fixes some bugs that surfaced in 0.9.164.

It opens for me now!

One thing that's maybe a little more technical but I think speaks to a larger issue: closing the info dialogue with OK or using the Next/Previous automatically marks the book to be updated. this even happens if you don't change anything and if you use set/change values that don't write to the file's comicinfo. I'm about to update a lot of custom values and I'm worried about the amount of unnecessary disk hits this will create.

Wow, that's fast! Is the problem with the script windows fixed in that release?

This is purely cosmetic, but when you mouse over the database connection icon, the tooltip will keep fading in and out of view.

I imagine the icon is being updated on every heart-beat connection check and that causes the behaviour, maybe updating it only when the status changes would fix this.
