Your comment in the news feed about how little "press" CR gets compared to CDisplay is something I've often wondered about too. I tried CDisplay years ago, for about two uses, and promptly searched for something better (and I found CR). It was no better than my free version of ACDSee at the time.

I suppose for people that just want to open a book quickly and read, it probably works. Even if you take away all of the great features that CR has and just take it for the library organization, it blows away any other reader.

I'm not sure how to get the word out besides the word of mouth I already give it, but more people need to know about your program. Perhaps webcomics will provide a nice boost if you can get some strips to promote CR on their sites.

This one's been out there for a while, I'm just now getting around to posting it :p. On the Pages tab (from the main browser or the Get Info form), the Delete key doesn't always work for setting pages to delete. You often have to single-click the page multiple times or click another page to get CR to select the page in a way that pressing delete marks the page as deleted. It also seems like the highlight can change when you do this, as if there's multiple types of highlighting (not selected, light highlight, darker highlight), so maybe that's the culprit (the GUI not highlighting consistently)?

I think one of the reasons CDisplay is so popular is that it's the primary program that comes up when googles .cbr or .cbz. Neophytes who are now coming across eComics will tend to do that first if they don't know of a program to run them. We should probably all make it a point to google cbr or cbz and look at the file extension reference pages/wiki entries/forums that come up and start updating them and spreading the word there.
