Great job :cheer:
I'm really impressed - 124 pages describing each function ! :woohoo:

HQ version is simply perfect. Screen shots are not really readable in LQ version.

I was wondering if there is a way to configured informations displayed in the tiles view.
Now I know it's not an available feature.

Huge job, really ! Would be complicated to have it available int the 17 languages currently supported by ComicRack :P {Oo}, do you want some help ? :silly:

Nice work on this. Very thorough and covers pretty much all topics on the program. I'll definitly read it at least once, and i'll keep it handy for those fringe features i need every now and then.

fK

Thank you guys perezmu, {Oo}, Franck & forkicks !

Still awaiting some response from other active users, mainly quidam, shinrai, Alan Scott, DouglasBubbletrousers, Fain ...

By the way, I posted a poll on facebook & the results so far tell that most of our users do not even know about the manual :-(

Well, the problem with translating the manual is that I would have to change every single screenshots since 600's are in English. And, to have something that is coherent, I'd have to take them in French. I'm not saying that I won't do it, just that 100+ pages will take quite some time. And I'll have to see with 600 for some pointers as well :p

Maybe cYo could post a news so that every CR user will have it pop-up when they launch the program (like the new version news). That way, a lot more people would have, at least, heard about it. And, about the FB poll, well I don't think it really represents the common community. There certainly are more people passing by but I think most of the "active users" are the same that those on the forums.

Next week.

Before I post it I want to have everything in place. Maybe sync it with the next ComicRack release.

I knew you already had something like that in mind

But, as they say, great minds think alike! B)

I just read a good part of your new version 600 and it's... well... breathtaking. Easy to read and understand, very well explained, pictures illustrating the different steps, etc... You really outdid yourself. I think that if (yeah now it only became an 'if') I translate it, it'll take me wayyyyyyyyyyyyy more time than I expected.

It's gonna be a cornerstone of CR (from my point of view). :woohoo:

The Revised version of the ComicRack Manual (2nd edition) will be out soon in 4-5 days. If you wish to request any thing to be added or any changes you would like, now is the time..!!

I used a number of comic book characters on the covers for every chapter. So, did you like it ? Would you like some other character on the chapter cover there ?

Did I miss any feature from the manual ?

Please tell me as this revision is most likely the the one to stay here for a long time, and would also be put on the server and maybe added to the setup..

p.s. quidam.. you there ?

Only today I was able to browse through it. Great work, 600WPMPO!

I'll try to read it more carefully and give you some remarks if I notice something could be added/changed.

Thanks for the hard work!

Edit: just noticed - something about Multiple eComic Information Dialog could be added. ;]

It's a very minor point, but in the Comic Vine Scraper section, you might want to include a link to the Comic Vine Scraper project page on Google Code. It always has a link to the latest version of CVS available for download:

code.google.com/p/comic-vine-scraper/

Other scripts may have their own project pages as well.
