Apologies in advance if this has been posted before: When I ran the script on "The Sandman" by Alan Moore, it used the top "Number:" and "of:" fields for series issue number and some other set number (arc or volume maybe, I don't know). So you get something silly like 'The Sandman #75 (of 6)'

That's not actually a product of the scraper as the "of" field is not scraped. It is a product of bad proposed values when ComicRack itself tried to interpret filenames and parse out info.

:( Please help.. whenever I try to run CVS, I am getting this error..

I hadn't run CVs for past 2-3 days, as i was busy cleaning up my computer. I had moved my mp3 files to another partition, and had moved a few cbr/cbz archives to the partition now emptied of mp3s. But, I didn't alter the C drive.. Everything is working fine, but when I run the CVS, I get this exception. I tried re-installing CVS, but it was no help..

Oh.. what have I done wrong ? :(

Ok, same here...! I noticed this a few days ago, but it only happended in my desktop, not the laptop... so it was something I had done, which broke it. Thus I did not report it...
Oh.. what have I done wrong ? :(

And now I just found what it is... I just installed Antiquariant v1.0 in the laptop, and voila!, CVS broken! Uninstalling Antiquariant brought CVS back!

I have tried with the latest version of Antiquariant (v1.1), with same results!

I am reporting this in the Antiquariant thread.

<wild guess alert>
Perphaps antiquariat had some code based off your CVS, and that made class/method names clash? Or using same temporary files?

I can live without Antiquariant, but not without CVS ! ;)

p.s. And this also breaks Bedetheque scraper & the now-canceled books collector

Well, I'm glad it wasn't me! ;)

One thing that many people may not know about writing ComicRack scripts is that you don't get a "fresh environment" each time you run a script. There is only one python environment running for the entire time that ComicRack is running, so if you make global changes to that environment (loading python modules, changing global variables, etc.) those changes will remain for other scripts as well as re-runs of your own script.

It's possible that Antiquariant is doing this; in particular, if the author copied the logging architecture that I wrote, and is initializing it but not cleaning it up properly afterward, this error would definitely happen.

Another possibility, as was suggested, is that there are name conflicts with modules from CVS. (In fact, I probably should add something like "cvs_" onto the front of all my module names, just to prevent exactly that sort of conflict with other scripts.)

Nice observations those..

By the way, I don't know where to report this, but Bedetheque is still broken even after uninstalling Antiquariant :-(
