Localization of the Android version is not as comfortable as with localizer.exe.

This post has attached the xml file for all texts in the Android version. To localize it, just open it with a text editor and adapt the texts (not the names).

From my understanding, there is no way that you can try your changes with the application without recompiling and packaging the whole thing (which you can't).

So if you want to make your fingers dirty, download the file, make a post here that you're working on it and upload the result. I'll add it to the next release.

BTW, here's the statistic of current language usage of the android client:

1 English (United States) 50.0%
2 English (United Kingdom) 13.1%
3 French (France) 5.0%
4 Spanish (Spain) 3.8%
5 Dutch (Netherlands) 3.7%
6 German (Germany) 3.5%
7 English (Canada) 2.6%
8 Portuguese (Brazil) 2.1%
9 English (Australia) 2.1%
10 Italian (Italy) 1.8%

As always, any help is appreciated and welcome.

Hi Cyo,
I asked for it more than a month ago, and I didn't find this topic until now...

I attach my first italian translation. Probably there is something to modify, but I need to see it "in action" to fully understand...

I think current version will have more srtings to translate: if you can post the uptated xml I will try to translate missing text.

Thank you very much for this great software (and for the windows version too!!!)

Even if I'm a bit late... Mery Christmas!
...and happy new year (this time I'm a bit early)

Luca

Woops, guess this topic eluded me!

Here's an example of what to modify, what should be translated is in bold:

<string name="comic_details_name">Comic Details</string>

Just in case some of you want to contribute.

FYI, I'm going to do the FR version, as always. But, since I don't have any android device for the moment, I'll rely on your feedback for some much needed modifications

And here it is.

The French translation of CRA.

It is bound however to massive inconsistencies since I don't own any Android devices. I had to translate it "on the fly" according to what I did for the main CR.

I intentionally left some strings in English since I didn't know what their behavior was like.

And, cYo, I found some minor issues with the English in the following lines (and a question for the last one):

Key will be displayed twice for these two lines
line 261: <string name="reader_key_left_dialog_title">Select action for Left key key</string>
line 262: <string name="reader_key_left_summary">Sets the action for the Left key key</string>

Never heard of ComicrRrRrRrRrrrRrrrack
line 317: <string name="preferences_header_visit_title">Visit ComicrRack</string>

I think you wanted to add a break line in this one but the "n" is missing after the \
line 389: <string name="failed_to_check_android_market_license">The Android Market License check failed. Please make sure you\'re connected to the Internet and start ComicRack again.</string>

Is it normal that this line is the only one with quotes?
line364: <string name="current_ecomic_folder_empty">"Your current eComics folder '%s' is empty. Do you want to select a different folder?"</string>

That's all for now.

I'm eagerly waiting on feedback for massive improvements.

Here's my contribution.

Is localizing already implemented?
I tryed to find Luke's and Oo's but ??,
I even wispered, said, shouted, yelled 'Open Sesame' ... but to no avail

Well I can live with the English version.

BTW Cyo, fabelous job again.
If there where Gold to win or give for this..

I am interested in the translation of the Android application to Russian.
According to the comicrack.cyolito.com/ , a new version will be released soon.
Please provide a text resources from it.
I think I can provide a translation to Russian rather quickly - for 1-2 days.

Thank you.
