This seems to happen almost every time when I am syncing my Galaxy Nexus:

- First time when I hit the sync (doesn't matter if I do it from CRW or CRA, USB or WiFi), everything gets deleted from my phone. Read statuses are correctly copied to the CRW though.
- I hit the sync again and get next unread books from my lists uploaded to the phone and all works fine again.

Few things which I thought might affect:
- I'v been re-scraping lots of data lately (probably always between the syncs)
- My synced list is bit complex setup:
- The list is reading all unread books from one folder
- The folder has lists of series I want to keep up and usually some larger event or story arch which I'm reading at the moment.

Changed meta data will recopy the file.
If you resync the same list again without any reading etc. on the device, does it copy anything? (it should not)

Last night I did some scraping and some of the books in my synced list was updated, no sync after that until I just did quick tests (connected via USB):

1st sync: Everything was wiped out from phone
2nd sync: 30 next unread comics are uploaded (I limited the number to 30)
3rd sync: nothing happened

Then I unplugged the phone and read few pages of one book

4th sync: just read status of the book I read was updated.

I rescraped some of the comics. Probably not much was changed after yesterday, though. Waited until all files were updated.

5th sync: I see that metadata was updated (notes says info was scraped just few moments ago). Comics stays in the phone.

Then I updated some values which probably were empty at least some of the selected comics. Waited until all files were updated.

6th sync: Again, no wiping the phone, just my updates were synced to phone.

Next I got to read few of those comics in the phone and try sync after that and see what happens. Seems like it doens't want to do it when I try reproduce the issue...

Hello again,

After some testing I figured out what happens:

When I sync first the read statuses are updated in CRW. This seems to cause issue with refreshing on the folder/list. The list appears empty and thus the sync does what it should, it removes everything from the phone also.

The structure I am trying to sync:

To Read (folder - show everything, this is where I am syncing all unread)
- Series (folder - show everything)
+- Serie 1 (Smart list, couple of unread comics)
+- Serie 2 (Smart list, no unreads)
+- Serie 3 (Smart list, no unreads)
- Events
+- Story Arch (Smart list, plenty of unreads)

I'v been reading comics only from Story Arch. When the read statuses from CRA are synced to CRW, I suddenly have only those couple of books from "Serie 1" in my phone.
Previously I had one more level in that structure and then then everything was gone.

This looks to me that it might be the case that if previous level get updates, it's incorrectly updated and appear empty. I don't know if it happens only with folders or will lists which uses other list as source affected as well.

Now I set directly the "Story Arch" list to be synced. Will see if that works correctly (after I get few comics read again.

Ok, the last case tested also. When I select the smartlist (or more than one) for syncing, everything works fine.

So, there seems to be an issue with refreshing the list/folder if I select deeper structure for sync.

I have 2 devices (Phone and tablet). And have the same problem with both devices, when syncing a folder with multiple lists, all books first gets cleared and then reloaded. There is no sorting or filters of any kind on the sync but there is a limit of 15 books.

I'm basically having the same problem on my Transformer Prime. Although now, I unpaired the device. Deleted all the comics on the prime. Repaired the device, then tried resyncing. I have 703 comics in my folder total, with 497 unread, but only 248 are copied to the prime.

Getting all lists cleared when syncing a list folder was a bug fixed in 0.9.147. A regression?

If not all books are synced, check your settings (sync only unread etc.) Each list synced has its own settings.
