When i try to restore the app data from a titanium backup all of my comics are gone. I can manually overwrite the database file in the /data/data/com.cyo~ directory i can see the comics, but none of the comics load, it seems like the URL looks invalid. Is there a way to load my old comic data back?

What exactly do you mean by "restore the app data from a titanium backup"? What is a "titanium backup"?

Titanium Backup is a software for root android users to backup their apps, and settings for it. It is very similar to rom toolbox.
I am trying to restore the settings and data for my app. When i launch the app the read/reading history is gone, as well as the database and cache.

are you wiping your sdcard as well when you update/load a new ROM and also making a full backup of your files with T-Backup? I use a Kindle Fire and one of the things I've never had to do was wipe the sdcard since my first custom ROM. T-Backup has always saved my CRA settings and restored them each time I've made a switch to some ROM or another.

I'm asking this because you may be able to get away with not wiping your sdcard when you switch to a new ROM so you can:

a) save yourself some memory by not creating a backup of your comic files (if that is what you are doing)
b) T-Backup should have no problem restoring your settings back to normal from here on out

If you had a defective device and made backups on it and then tried to restore on a new device, this could be the problem. My Nook Color took a dump on me some months back and when I attempted to restore the backups I had on to my Kindle Fire, everything was a loss. Unfortunately that is the nature of the beast.

Okay, that makes sense. I wish this app was compatible with titanium backup, or other app backup tools.
