TOPIC: [SOLVED] Comics Not Organized by The Title I Give them

Comics Not Organized by The Title I Give them 3 years 3 months ago #39715

I tried both lists and neither worked, as I stated in one of my above messages. :/

[EDIT] Scratch that, my apologies. I thought I created a normal list but it was still in the Smart List category. I created a new one and am syncing it my Nexus 7 now. I will report back when it's done and see if it works. Thanks for the tip.

Well, the normal list did not work either. :/ Behaving exactly like the others.

[EDIT] Is there any way to stop it from assigning titles and just use the file names i have given them? I could not find it anywhere but I may have missed it.

You sorted the books by filename in your smart list, so the order was correct, you selected all books, and drag and dropped them into a new normal reading list? If you did that, it should be working, it's working for me every time.

If you look the Position column in the normal reading list, it must be in correct order. When you don't turn on sorting at the device sync settings for the reading list, it will use that Position order.

You could create some screenshots from the smart list order, from the position order in the copied reading list and from the order on the tablet so we can see where could be the error.

I have tried about everything. They show up on my PC in the correct order and I have it saved exactly how it want it sorted/shown but every time it uses it's own names for the sorting on my Nexus 7.

Here is a screenshot of each (PC/Nexus 7) - www.dropbox.com/sh/wkmedglohda4u9c/AACS6z7lX1l3KUj8dYwAz97Za

If there is anything I can provide to help, please let me know and I will be happy to do it.

I can't see the position there so it's not helping. :)

Modify your view to see what is the order of the position, like this:

That position order will be the order on the tablet, too.

Well, I don't know, what could be the problem with your settings, but try these steps:

1. Create a New List somewhere in the tree, name it anything you like.

2. Go to your smart list, make it look like this, with sorted by filenames and with wrong position order:

3. Select all books here now. Drag and drop them to the newly created list from step 1.

4. Go to your new list, and make it look like this to check it:

5. Now sync this list with no sorting.

Sorry, but i have to go to bed now, i just hope this will help.

Okay, the no sorting on the sync screen does and is the onlyt hing that worked. :/ I had been choosing which files/lists to sync through the preferences page and had not seen the option for not sorting before. Regardless, it works now!

Thank you everyone taking the time to help, truly!
