I am trying to use AMIDuOS to host Android on a Surface Pro 4 and it is working pretty decently but one of the biggest uses of my Android Tablets or iPads is to read my comics. I am having problems with the computer being able to see the hosted ComicRack for Android even if I manually type the IP address in. It appears that is might be a blocked port but I haven't see anything that states which ports are required to be open to an Android device to allow wireless syncing.

I figured it out. 7614 TCP. I've got ComicRack Running on a Surface Pro4 using AMIDuOS. Doing the first sync now but it is zipping along.

Could you explain how you got it to work step by step? I've tried that port with the tool and it's not working for me :(

You download the tool from this site.
amiduos.com/support/knowledge-base/artic...orwarding-in-amiduos
Save it to somewhere you can get to it easily from a command prompt. I would recommend c:\amiduos.
Open and Administrative Command prompt and change directory to the folder with DuOSPortForward in it.

run the following command
DuOSPortForward add ComicRack TCP 7614 7614

That should get you working

That's what I'd done, and CR won't recognize the device for pairing. Have you got 'simulated network' enabled in settings (if it makes a difference)? Or any special router settings?

No to simulated network. Configure ComicRack under Edit - Preferences - Advanced - Wireless Setup and enter IP address of the tablet there. Click test and it should be successful.

Thanks... looks like my problem is with CR, not DuOS - the pairing search function is glitched. It finds it just fine with 'test'.

I can get it to PAIR with DuOS now, but it still won't sync :(
