Not sure how the "string" is parsed into a "DateTime" class I only know that the following methods work: yyyy-MM-dd, yyyy/MM/dd, MM-dd-yyyy, MM/dd/yyyy. I'll be using the only one that makes sense to me yyyy/mm/dd (stupid Americans with their month first priorities- P.S. I'm American)

Ok now on with the info.

Filter by Comic ReleaseDate:

If you want to filter by specific date its as simple as putting that date in.

for example I want to filter all comics Released on Wednesday, February 13, 2013
I simply make a filter for that day using the following settings

simple enough right?

Lets move on to more complex ideas.

Filter by range:
DC has started releasing comics on certain days of the week like TV Shows, and if you are a stickler for accuracy of information in your comics (like i am) you probably have these days set accordingly. Maybe you want them to still fall into the same list as the Week the Regular comics are released.

so we have to filter by range using something like so:

You can do whatever kind of tricks you wish with ranges.

But none of this seems complicated or tricky at all, right?

Well this next one is the one thing i had to figure out by myself, and isn't too obvious.

Filter by "DateTime" value that is not set:

So you want to find all those comics where you haven't set the release date?
Try leaving the value blank... no matches right?

unfortunately C# doesn't allow for a null value.
so it actually HAS a value. that value is January 1, 0001.

so we can simply do this:

Unless you have a really REALLY rare collection it's doubtful you have anything actually set to this date.

Now I know i haven't exactly given rocket science knowledge here, but someone may need some of this not-so-obvious knowledge when sorting their collections.

I'll fix the matcher for the empty release date.
