Use the following smartlist:
Name "Stupid Page Sizes"
Match [Expression] is true "{PageCount}>0 and ({FileSize}/{PageCount}>2000000)"

Replace the number at the end with your definition of stupidity.
Then you can use the "export..." command with some sensible settings to recompress these books in place.

Thank you very much for this. I have a lot of scans that are such high resolution that take up my whole 28" monitor set at 1920x1200. Made even more excessive by the fact that I do almost all my reading on a 7" tablet! This will greatly reduce my library size.

 Great name btw!

EDIT: I have 132 comics above the threshold in the example of ~2MB/page . Not really sure if I want to lower it further to something close to ~1.5MB/page or not (448 if I use that threshold).

I'm curious to see what other people feel a reasonable threshold for size per page is.

I size most of my comics to 1800 page height and under 500kB per page.

I prefer to leave them at full size since scaling down is easy but replacing missing details isn't.

That's assuming that the pages are simply big instead of horribly compressed of course.

Great script!

I put it to use, and immediately used the export functionality to repack 500 eComics that were taking up way too much room.

I would love to see more Smartlists that used the Expression capability along with calculations to really create some powerful intelligent smartlists.

cYo, do you have any more smartlists like it? Or anybody else have any like it, that they found useful? I would love to get some more like this one.

Same here... Filling up the entire monitor is crazy. I would welcome opinions as to what would be a reasonable comic resolution for my 1920x1200 display?

1200x1920? (You are of course reading your comics with a monitor in portrait orientation, right?)

No. I am reading comics with my monitor*** in the usual landscape orientation. I just do not want it to fill my entire screen.

*** If you remember, I bought this excellent monitor on your suggestion (the Dell U2410). I thank you (and manders2000) everytime I turn it on. :-)

Note to self: Replace this post with a photo of my setup when I get home tonight, so you can see what you're missing out on

EDIT: This is a temporary setup due to some moving, so it's not on a real desk and the lighting is terrible, but this should give some idea of why I espouse this so heavily...

That picture just motivated me to try to track down a new inverter for my second 28". I would love to have one in portrait like that. Awesome setup Shinrai.
