When I'm done moving it I may end up with two in portrait (and putting them in a horizontal line, naturally), really it's a toss-up. This current arrangement is better for say, sorting and tagging on one landscape screen while Netflixing on the other...we'll see.

Anyway, to stay on topic, the thing here is that you see how nicely a comic page fills up a screen like that. Most larger scans these days are very near this size - only the unusually massive ones have to be scaled down significantly to fit.

EDIT: And it beats the shit out of reading them on a tablet when the scans are good quality, haha

EDIT: This is a temporary setup due to some moving, so it's not on a real desk and the lighting is terrible, but this should give some idea of why I espouse this so heavily...

I am beyond amazed... just WOW!

I so need to start using my Dell U2412M like that. (It's got a portrait/landscape rotating stand)

Yeah, those are actually U2410s. Even if you only have one, frankly, it's worth just rotating it before you go to read comics and then putting it back - the OEM stands they come on move really smoothly as long as your cables are loose enough.

Yeah I think I'm going to wait to do any converting until I see what I'm going to do with my setup.
Regardless though this is still a great list.

Actually you could use this in reverse to ID comics that you would like to try and track down a higher quality version of. Just switch the > to < and set the number to whatever you want your minimum size per page to be less than.

Example for finding comics with less than an average 200KB/page:
{PageCount}>0 and ({FileSize}/{PageCount}<200000)

Unrelated to the HQ smartlist and sizes, but related to the monitors:
This has given me the idea for building a stand/mount that will hold both monitors and allow me to spin them (independently of each other) between portrait and landscape. Actually shouldn't be too difficult to build.

This is REALLY clever - I have relied on just tagging these manually, which is hugely tedious.

Thank you! It literally came to me as I was typing that bottom part about the stand (which used to be at the top until the idea for that list came to me and replaced it at the top of the post due to it actually being relevant  )!

That setup is really awesome. This calls for some positive karma coming your way...:-)

Unfortunately, my desk is too small to hold so many monitors.

I am still curious, as to how do you connect so many monitors with a the same CPU?

Another thing that I want to ask is that what other purposes does that vertical monitor serve, other than reading comics?

And in what other ways can such a multi-monitor setup be utilized?

I am asking these to get motivated, so that I may convince myself to have such a luxurious setup! :-)
