Free 2413 is nothing to sneeze at - if nothing else, it uses less power and is more future-proof since it supports DisplayPort daisy chaining. (Also auto rotation of the on screen menu is indeed nice - the 2410 actually does this but you have to manually change it).

I'd say you made out pretty damned well :)

So the bad news is that the new monitor is so good you want to replace the old one? lol.

But seriously, now I see what Shinrai meant when he said that "You will almost certainly notice some sort of difference (even if one isn't noticeably WORSE they will be DIFFERENT)". The new one is so smooth it makes my old one look all grainy & brown. But then, it is only when I sit down & try note the difference, or when I am having a white background (Office, InDesign, Explorer) on the new one.

Also, reading comics on this is a great pleasure. :-)

And also, the new one gives me the USB 3.0 hub (the old one had 2.0), so I can link my Mac Mini with it and save money on buying a USB 3.0 hub (which I was planning to).

I bought the u2410 in September 2012. It's still in warranty (3 years). Just saying....:silly:

I'm sure there's a website out there somewhere that is designed to burn up a monitor on purpose for just that reason...
