Ok I want to organize this way ( i used a way older script to do organize some stuff) but I have a question.

Normally when i should click the library organizer quick button a selection of profiles dialogs should pop up. But I have to select one (none are selected).
What did I do wrong?
.
Still wondering this, in the pdf it goes from
numbered series
numbered series (sg)
alpa
alpa (fcbd)
series groups
series groups (multi)
main series
series
limited series
limited series (multi)
oneshots
oneshots (multi)
annuals
annuals (multi)
scanlations
webcomics
xtras

but I notice that profiles from the resources are already numbered
01 main series
02 limited series
..
10 basic

is that enought to get the same result? (there are also many more NOT numbered profiles so I am totally lost here

I used the non-numbered ones in the order that they're in in the tutorial PDF and everything came out fine.

Newbie here. I hope I'm not doing any mistakes in the post...

First of all, thanks to @600WPMPO for this awesome guide! :woohoo: Right now, my comics are being (almost automatically) tidied up.

I had to make just a minor adjustment though: ComicVineScraper v1.0.90 is no longer working (cannot connect to Comic Vine DB), so i had to download v1.0.93 from github.com/cbanack/comic-vine-scraper/wi...oad-and-Installation.

With that, every other thing works just fine.

Thank you again!!!

I've read the document and understand it all apart from the 'Data Manager' section.
It lists 6 different rulesets (Series Groups, Main Characters, Formats etc.) but does not give the rule formats for these.
Would anyone be able to tell me the format of the ruleset for each of these please.

Thank you

This thing is freaking awesome!

And it works great so far installed it yesterday. I just have one question does someone has an updated rule set for the data manager to import?
its seems that the one in this topic is a bit outdated as it doesn't recognize all my marvel comics?

i know i can update it myself but if some already has it it will safe me some time :).

600WPMPO + 1 karma for this !

Ok, never saw this topic before... I will have a look at this tutorial as soon as I have some free time... I have my own (very complicated polished with the years) system to store comics but I am.sure I can use some ideas from here XD

Ok, read it now, and it is A FANTASTIC TUTORIAL, well explained and organized and completely recommended for new and veterans comicrack users...

It is strange, because people depends a lot in Data Manager, while I don't use it much... I use it to populate only certain general fields... perhaps because I let my "Autocomplete values" script do the rest... (instead of creating rules manually, I just manually complete one new comic, usually number 1, and let the rest be auto complete by this script)

I used to do it with Datamanager, but every week a many new series or volumes are release and it was a lot of work to have my rules updated... With "autocomplete script" it just create this rules automatically based in already filled data XD

It is a pity I read this tutorial now and not many years ago, as I lost all scanner information when I renamed all files and lost the scanner information there U_U (never thought of saving it inside the comic data)
