That makes sense. Major credit for the well thought out work around.

On that note, if there's no system update available for your device 600, you should at least be able to connect through USB and put the comics on the external that way. It's not ideal, but its better than having to limit yourself to just a few.

Can't you upgrade to 4.0+?
I looked into it, and have been told to undergo these plethora of seemingly complicated steps:

This is too much of a hassle. Really, I'm fine with the present state of things.

I've synced 5 lists, limiting each to a maximum of 1 GB of size, and also checked the 'optimize size' option. So, my internal storage is breathing quite nicely.

In any case, I just need CRA to have a look at the current updates regarding the design of the app. For that, this much is sufficient.

Again I thank all for sparing their time to help me out. I really appreciate it. :)

Have you checked that the manufacturer hasn't released an official upgrade? That would be much simpler, and the new version of Android should remove the whole SD card write business...
I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!

I am not rooted, and I do not intend to go through that.

I certainly don't want to pressure you into rooting if you don't want to, but if your tablet doesn't have an official Android 4 update you may want to reconsider if there is a custom rom available for your tablet.

3.0 to 4.0 was a huge improvement for tablets. 3.0 was a rushed, sloppy version so they could get Android tablets out on the market. 4.0 is a much more refined system and you will find that the increase in compatibility with apps is a lot better.

That's all I will say about it, but it is definitely to your benefit to be on a 4.0 system.

If it's a Samsung Galaxy 7+, then there is indeed an official update to 4.1 (Jellybean).

As others have said, 3.2 is rushed software from two years ago, while 4.1 is much nicer in terms of polish and performance.

Try going to Settings, scroll down to "About Tablet," and see if the update is available to download.

It looks like there is an official update, but its not OTA (meaning you can't go to the settings menu on the device and update from there). Instead you have to do the update through Kies.

Not sure how you go about doing it though since, based on the lack of info about it, it appears Samsung doesn't want their customers to know about it! :side:

This was the most helpful link I could find (gdgt.com/discuss/do-the-ics-upgrade-immediately-1bw7/), and it's not very helpful at all. :(

Hmm this is the Samsung page explaining upgrades, and the download for the updater.

www.samsung.com/hk_en/galaxytab70_upgrade_kies
www.samsung.com/hk_en/kies

Seems straightforward, basically update over USB (sort of like how you used to have to connect iOS devices to iTunes to update)

Thank you for finding those links Juan. I was having a heck of time finding anything useful. Then again, searching while lying in bed barely conscious probably wasn't the best of ideas.

Good luck Lord 600!
