You can script this.
Modify the page type script and look for .webp extension in the images.

This is beyond my level of 'skill'. Maybe some good script writer will step up...

p.s. Or maybe you can script this in your spare time ;)

How can I confirm that my newly sync optimized comics are using webp and not just resized jpegs on my tablet? I can see that the file size of the cbp is smaller, but I have no idea of the image format inside.

The originals in CRW are still JPEGs until I test all this out.

I am running Android 4.1.2 but on a rooted Kindle Fire, so just trying to be sure.

The answer is what we are discussing:

Feature request: Files exported to WebP should get a 'Yes' value in a 'WebP' metadata field (custom?)

I'm trying to confirm that the CBP files on my tablet contain WEBP images. Not the CBR/CBZ files on my PC.

What about going into your comics folder on the device, copying a comic out, renaming to zip and looking inside it? I just tried it (I haven't yet synced a webp comic over so I was expecting jpgs) and found just what I was expecting, a series of jpgs. Also, I am running 4.2.2 on a TF101, in case you're curious.

Confirmed by doing the copy rename to zip. Thanks for the idea.

I took a look at StonePaw's bookswithpagesmarked.py script and then looked at the properties of ComicPageInfo. It doesn't appear to me that there is any way to get the image format of a page from that object.

Am I looking in the right place?

The Key property of the page info should contain and file name image.

Check if it ends with ".webp". There may be one problem as the key may only be filled for open comics. But you could check.

Yea, I tried the key property and it returns "None".

This is kinda what I was trying

for book in books:
for page in book.Pages:
print page.Key
