I have been trying to get my head round the slow speed problem I am currently (see my other post)
I have read that cbz files are better than cbr (and vicea versa)
I checked through my files last night and is 'almost' a 50/50 split between the two formats.

Should I convert them all to one type ? would this help any with my slow library creation ?
currently 14hr and some to add 1700 comics to a fresh library.

If you recompress either format with zero compression, they would open faster as the cpu isnt working so hard to unpack them. Another consideration (apart from file size) is resolution I have Spiderman scans from the 90's which are around 10 mb in size, they open really quickly, the averger size of a digital comic now is around 30 - 40 mb, obviously gonna be higher resolution pics and bigger data to work with.
