I'm still using an old version of Comicrack (0997). I'd love to upgrade to the latest, but doing so seriously hoses the metadata in my library. Apparently, at some point, the way the program parses filenames to create suggested metadata changed. When I try the upgrade, lots of my neatly stacked series fracture and turn in dozens (or even hundreds) of separate series with odd names. Manually cleaning all of that up would take hundreds of hours of work. (I have a huge library.)

Any thoughts? Is there a script I can run that writes all my existing series names and such into the DB, so that the new version will pick up those values instead of trying to parse the values from filenames?

Are you using Data Manager, CVS and Library Organizer? The combination of the three should keep your library organized the same no matter what version of ComicRack you are using.
