No support makes it dead.

I for one would really like a way to stream to my portable device or browse from my portable device.

It is not dead... it still works perfectly... in the last version of Windows! At least you could say the development of the soft is dead... but even then, the script developers give support...

Give cYo some right to have a life, it was only some months ago since the last update!

But it's been almost a year since anything has been done with the client. And I have numerous problems with it with re: font sizes, handling with 4k monitors, windows 10 and a bunch of window states (for example, can't seem to add another ipad to my devices list, and when I do I'm stuck with the progress bar running with no way to cancel out without force-closing the app). There's a LOT that needs to be done with this and it's going to die because people have given up on it. Never mind I've paid money for this thing on several ipads now. ;-)

Still works great for me. My biggest issue is that the ios version is probably not going to be supported by apple much longer and while there is somebody who wants to take that project over they can't get a response back from cyo.

What if it doesn't?

The inbox on the support email listed for the Android app is completely full, so I'd say it's dead.

Dead it seems, which is a shame because I really enjoy this program.
An alternative wouldn't be easy so it would be nice if the dev let the community take the reigns as others have previously stated.

I'm pretty sure they are asking if it's "dead", not if it's "broken".

It works fine, although it is aging and hasn't been updated for a year. The mobile versions, as someone pointed out above, aren't getting support. It's a dead, or "on its last legs" project.

Unfortunately, there is no other project out there, that I have seen, that is anywhere even remotely close to sporting the features that ComicRack has... so, I'm guessing ComicRack, in its current state is the best we are going to see for .cbz management. Hopefully, someone proves me wrong and produces a modernized version of ComicRack, but it doesn't seem likely.

I've started keeping my eyes open for alternative solutions because it does seem as though the project has been abandoned. It's only a matter of time before it stops functioning for those of us who keep our systems up to date and inevitably something will change that will stop the current code from continued functionality.

It's a real shame because it has definitely been the best comic reader/library management solution for a long, long time. I don't think anything out there even comes close. Not that I've discovered yet at any rate.
