Cyo,

I love the look of the new site. I don't like the advertisements but I know how that goes and if they help you to keep the site online and bring some money in towards it I am all for them and will just tolerate them. That's just the price I have to pay for such a great application that you've made and that I use daily.

I'm confused as to what happened to the old site. Were there serious problems with the old forums or did you need more functionality that the change has given you? Also i'm wondering about the wiki and thinking that if you had the database for it still couldn't it be converted into linked posts or pages that could be attached to the documentation links here on the new site? I wasn't a big user of the wiki as it didn't have as much information in it as the forums did when I had issues or questions I found it easier to just search the forums and try to find answers/fixes. But I do see a serious need for some type of solid documentation for the application to help people figure out how to use some of the features. Well anyways enough rambling here and thanks once again for your application and your continued support of it. I don't know what i'd do without it and it's brought me back here repeatedly (even if I don't post when i'm here unless i'm having issues and trying to find a fix for them). I hope that these forums stay online for along time.

The old site was running on Joomla 1.1x, which reached end of life in July. This meant no security bug fixes anymore. So I had to kind of upgrade to Joomla 1.5. There is no native wiki for 1.5, so this feature is still missing.

I'm thinking about making a separate wiki installation, only loosely integrated (same users), but I do not really know for now.

The ads you're seeing bring in about 20 cent each day and are not even enough to cover the server costs.
The current situation with costs and work is not quite sustainable and I've to think about some solution to the problem. But this is a different story for a different day :)

I know the current situation with the documentation is not very satisfying, but like a said on the frontpage, I would be more then happy to bring some active content submitters to this site on board.

bbCodes should now work as expected. Thanks for the hint (even if it took some time for me to register).

I like the new forums and website but I have found a problem:

I've been trying to upload a custom avatar but I keep getting the error:

JFile::copy: Cannot find or read file: ''
JFile::copy: Cannot find or read file: ''
JFile::copy: Cannot find or read file: ''

when I try to upload and my avatar turns into the broken image icon. I have tried .jpg, .png and .gif, none work.

I don't know if this is on my end or is a problem with the forums but I would really like to upload a custom avatar.

Thanks :)

I'm having this problem too. Can't upload any avatar at all (I've tried a few.)

Just thought of something... Would it be possible to add direct links to the language pack on the homepage? Like, a little flag and next to it the latest version it was updated for. Although, I don't know if it's doable with your template. Anyway, keep up the great work!
Working on re-uploading the FR manuals.

Is any way to show more messages per page than 6?
It's pita when I try to read looong topic like "(New) Import Comic Info From ComicVine".
Instead changing limit=6 on url of course.
I am what I am.
