I wonder: on one side ComicRack claims to be a good PDF eBook reader on the other side the comibination of ComicRack and Ghostsript is deemed to provide just basic PDF reading capabilities. If the views of a PDF document displayed by a dedicated reader are compared with a view produced by ComicRack/Ghostscript the later comes out much less satisfying.

If my understanding of Ghostscript as a PDF printing driver is correct, Ghostscript takes the PDF document, rasterizes the document and prints it to the screen. The originally scalable fonts such are transferred into the pixeled grafics, which remind me on the early days of word processing.

Can I configure the ComicRack/Ghostscript combo to process the output with more detail ?
Or can a exchange Ghostscript with something else, that will improve the result ?
