My apologies if this has been addressed before, I found nothing.

Ok. I have a huge collection of files on a hard drive, listed under
C:\Comic Collection\Avengers
C:\Comic Collection\Batman...etc...

When I find them and point to them from another networked Computer,
that computer finds them all without seeing the directories.

It no longer breaks down by folder on networked PC's.
If you have a large collection, you can see that scrolling through tons,
instead of by directory...

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm sure exactly what your looking for but it sounds like you want to group and/or sort on FILE DIRECTORY.

If this is correct, then it can be done by using the 'grouping' drop down tool, FILE DIRECTORY is hidden under E-I [second from the top].

If you have one or more network drives holding your collection, they will appear as such;
\\SERVER_NAME\share_folder\sub_folder

You can also SORT on either FILE DIRECTORY or FILE PATH. the only difference between them is FILE PATH includes the actual file name.

Thanks! That Helped. Could only find File Directory though.
Can't see File Path.

Is there a way to see each networked folder under Library too?

Thanks.

you can't GROUP on FILE PATH so you won't see it as a choice, but you should see it as a choice when you go to add or remove Columns.

As for seeing network folders under library, the answer is YES and the method is the same.

You might want to create a LIST LAYOUT which you could apply to ANY particular list you are viewing.

SHIFT+F6 will open the LIST LAYOUT editor.
