LG G Pad 8.3 looks promising in the mini-ish category. Google Play just released it's stock 4.4 version without the skin and bloat from LG. Unfortunately my Nexus 7 came in the mail today, but it will be returned tomorrow for the G Pad (another long wait). While a 10" would be better for reading in page view, from what I can tell the 8.3" is still doable without zooming and it's micro sd extendable (16GB+64GB). Anyone have experience with an 8" tablet?

I've been using the Lenovo Yoga for the last year or so, but I wanted something bigger. Yesterday, I picked up the Dell 18" all-in-one that's really just a monstrously huge tablet. It's 5 pounds, looks ridiculous, and is awesome! It's on sale at the Microsoft store for $699, and worth every penny. I only use it for comics, so I don't know how it would be otherwise, but for comics, it rules.

Finally took the plunge and bought a cheap 10.1" tablet for my comics at xmas
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CX1XKHY/r...00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Can not recommend this enough

Fantastic value for money and with an 32mb SD card will hold loads of comics/avis
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007JTKLEK/r...00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also bought a pair of speakers to watch my library of Dr Who programmes

Comic rack works great with it :)

Any one with queries feel free to ask me as I use this every night in bed :)

Picked up an iPad Air at Xmas and was pleased to see that ComicRack had an iOS app now. When I was looking at tablets a couple of years ago there was only the Android app, and I'm not an Android fan. The Air is a true pleasure to read comics on! So crisp.

I'm finding my Motorola Xoom a bit slow now after having my Nexus 7 to compare it to, Its also feeling rather heavy with its sexy, but weighty metal casing. Looking at maybe a Samsung come replacement time.
I cant get by with the Nexus 7 for comics with my mature eyes!

Can't wait for 12" ipad Maxi. It's the perfect size to read "Bande Desinee" aka European Comics

StartrekSteve- I made the move from Xoom to Note 10.1.

I'd suggest the newest '2014' 10.1 or the unreleased-yet 12 inchers. Like you I've got old eyes and I find myself reading comics sans glasses at fairly close range, and the pixelation of the "old" 10.1 is very noticeable.
