Hi,
I just reinstalled my system, and it seems all my comic book ratings are lost. Is it possible to make ComicRack store my ratings inside the zip file with the rest of the tags, so I don't lose them when I reinstall my system the next time?

Hi Gunslinger,

sites.google.com/site/comicrackmanual/ch...figuring/preferences

Advanced tab --> eComics section

activate "Allow writing of eComics info into files....

best wishes from Switzerland
Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't the fine line between sanity and madness gotten finer?

Unfortunately, I don't think that stores ratings in the CBR/CBZ files themselves. Ratings, pagereads etc are stored in the database.

yep, I used Sakkath's way before the format, this doesn't store Ratings and Read Percent in the files. So looks like there's currently no way to do this.

Without copying ratings into other fields this is probably not possible at the moment. But you can simply copy the %APPDATA%\cYo\ComicRack\ folder (or just ComicDb.xml) before formatting the system. Then just restore the folder/file after installing ComicRack into new system. If you have comics in same path as before, it should work without problems.

It's pretty good idea to take regular backups of the %APPDATA%\cYo\ComicRack\ folder.
To keep the backup size minimum, adding -cp switch to the ComicRack start-up icon might be a good idea. With that you can direct the cache to another folder.

I know this topic is quite old, but I could not find any info if this has been resolved since.
I read many comics on my Win tablet thus copy cbz files back and forth with my computer, unfortunately losing all ratings :(
