Reinstalling has not seemed to help. I can get the program to open, sometimes, but it crashes after a couple of minutes

I still cannot get comic rack to run. If i get it to open, it crashes after it scans a dozen or so books. I really need help here. I love ComicRack a lot, especially with the Android client. I have tried the two suggestions given and nothing has helped.

I'm on vista too and I have yet to get it to open. It works fine on my win 7 machine but I really want to run this on my vista laptop.

So far your help doesn't amount to much

This looks like something went wrong on your machine.
A few things you can try:

1) start comicrack with the commandline option "-ac test". Does it work? Can you add comics? If so backup your library file (ComicDb.xml), uninstall comicrack, delete %APPDATA%\cyp\ComicRack, reinstall and copy over your db.
2) Try comirack on a different machine or virtual machine

how exactly do I start comic rack "-ac test"? more than a half command would be helpful. I can pull up my CMD but then what.

My machine crashes everytime when it says opening files.

Also I have not been able to find any appdata stuff concerning comic rack

Please help. I am stuck with CDisplay EX until then.

well and the android app. (i bought the full version.)

In the cmd windo go to the Main Comic Rack directory c:\Program Files\ComicRack then tyep ComicRack.exe -ac test

The appdata is in your user folder, but it is hidden, you need to go to options and set it to show hidden folders.

That being said, for no reason I can explain, ComicRack is opening every time right now. It then promptly crashes after about 5 minutes. and gives the same details as my previous post.
