Ok, this is a problem i've been running into in every version.

Exporting comics to CBZ (not sure if it does this with export to any other format cause i only use cbz) at random occasions i get no error, but when i go back to view the comics i've converted a good half of them are unreadable (no pages, corrupt zip file). I can't say how this happens or that its really a problem considering, I only test it out a few times per version , and then just go back to my dos script that i've written to do the same task.

i searched for other instances of this happening in the forums, and didn't find any so maybe its just me (but i can't imagine i'm doing something wrong since its a simple menu selection - and i do verify the pages prior to export).

in the image above you can see that there are no pages after export. But the info (still remaining from before export shows 26 pages for "Doom Patrol #54".

Edit: Found reason for this error on further investigation. Its a collision between converting the files and writing the info into the zip file that corrupts the zip file... If you turn off "book files update automatically" this doesn't happen. Perhaps it might be a good idea to check if another process is running on the file before trying to update files?

I'll look into it.
Anyone else experienced this problem?

I export comics on a regular basis. Any download in .cbr is converted prior to scraping, and any book with ads is converted to have those pages removed, and I haven't come across this kind of behaviour before. "Book files update automatically" is set, and has been as far back as I can remember.
I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!

I've not had an issue with corrupted exports before, and like kenjio I do it regularly.

Same as Kenjio & sykoone, I also export regularly to CBZ, and get no errors.

However, only once when I had just finished the export, a BSOD came and my PC restarted. I had these 'corrupted' files with the red crosses on them.

well as i said it doesn't happen EVERY time i export, only rarely but when i do export i do a whole stack of comics at a time, which sometimes amounts to 100's of comics at once. But since turning off "Automatically update file" i haven't run into any corrupted conversions.

Hi,

it happend to me sometime too, I get corrupted album when I change the format.
I have to extract it, compress with 7z, and the next time it's ok.

It really annoying but not destructive hopefully.

I've had the Xs show up when the program thinks I still have CBRs and the exported CBZs. I got rid of em by rescanning the folder. Not sure why I had those problems as it was when I was first using the app. May have scraped the CBRs before converting or I may not have had a certain setting checked off... can't remember.

Have you tried making a copy of any of the corrupt CBZs, renaming them to .zip and looking at the contents? Do they have a small file size?

Things I heard are:
- the Os the compressed files were initially created in. I know MAC RARs (maybe also ZIPs) have problems if unpacked in Windows.
- Structure of the compresed file: if the subfolders have the same name as the file you create... or other strange combinations...

I have sometimes these problems. I created a quick ironpython program to make the uncompress-recompress-rename trick automatically on cbr or zip and transform those into cbz and sometimes i have the issue of final file being just a few kB... and still i have to find a common reason for these errors...
