i just got done rearranging all my comics and now want to place them into CR. when I did a test run, the books came in fine but all CR reconizes is the title. It does not pick up the book number. So when I go to import data into it, it of course picks the wrong issue.

an example of how my files are named: 52(2006)-010.
Could the way i name my files be affecting it?

Thanks for any help.

standard naming for ComicRack to get everything right is

Series #Number (of Count) (Year)

And some variants of it.
To get your numbers right, either rename them, or depending on your skills, write a python script for (see sample.py in scripts folder).
# Sample Parser for Comic paths
# path : string containing the full path of the eComic
# proposed : object with properties Series/Volume/Number/Count/Year
# the values in proposed are prefilled with the guessed ComicRack made.
# You can change these values or replace them as you like.
def ParseComicPath (path, proposed):
	proposed.Series = "-" + proposed.Series
	proposed.Title = "Bla"
	proposed.Volume = 1
	proposed.Number = "1.5"
	proposed.Count = 56
	proposed.Year = 2000
	proposed.Format = "Anual"
