Hello,
I tried to search the forum for a solution, but I couldn't find anything...

I wanted to rename a custom field, but CR added a new Custom field and assigned the value from the old CF, and now I have both custom fields... :silly:

Do I need to do something in the db (I'm using mySQL)?

Thank you in advance,
Luca

As long as nothing in your database uses a Custom Field it will dissapear once you close and restart. So renaming is just a matter of making sure all of your books have the new field name populated and none have the old one.

Quickest way to do that would be to make a Smartlist that shows all books with the unwanted field, in an ungrouped and unsorted view, where the custom column is displayed. Select all of the books and delete the top entry within the column therby emptying all of them.

Ciao jkthemac,
I've done exactly as you told me, and it worked perfectly.

Thank you very much!!
